Svetlana Marianer, MSc. PT
Registered Physiotherapist

My name is Svetlana Marianer. I graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor’s in Rehabilitation Science and a Master’s in Physiotherapy in 2012. Since completing my degree, I have taken various continuing education courses such as Manual Therapy, Prevention of Running Injuries, numerous courses from the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute, and many more.

As a former dancer and competitive weightlifter, I am particularly interested in orthopedic care, the prevention and treatment of sport injuries, and the biomechanics of movement. I have a strong foundation in managing acute and chronic low back and neck pain, various repetitive strain injuries, and a variety of musculoskeletal impairments resulting from both every day and recreational activities.

My recent passion has been in women's health which prompted me to train in pelvic floor therapy. My focus is to create a comfortable environment where issues related to the bowel, bladder and sexual health are openly discussed and treated. My skills allow me to treat clientele of all ages.

I am fluent in four languages: English, French, Hebrew, and Russian.

"I had chronic knee discomfort in my knee that no one could diagnose. Svetlana suggested to be seen by a surgeon after completing her assessment. It turned out that I had a torn meniscus, which got fixed. After completing physiotherapy with Svetlana, I had zero knee pain and full use.  I can now run with my kids again."
